Emma Curtis Hopkins

So my girl Emma Curtis Hopkins was a spiritual badass. Her depth perception in the spiritual realm, and life in general, was absolutely of the chart. I have been knee deep in her greatness this week and it has been transformational. A quote that has been running a 5k in my brain is this, “All of your affairs, as you look at them, represent your former way of thinking. They are held together by the glue of your former ideas. Now if you withdraw that glue, what can you expect, but that your affairs will all fall to pieces to let new affairs, representing your new way of thinking establish themselves”. There have been times in my life where my state of affairs felt like it was put together with super glue and popsicle sticks. These words of Emma spoke to those areas in me…those areas in all of us….where we have applied just enough glue not to fall apart. The glue of these old beliefs…these old ideas…these old ways of being….has grown hard and inflexible. So what do we do about this? Well, Emma tells us if we remove the glue, all those pieces that no longer serve us will fall away, making room for new stuff. Now removing glue is not always an easy task, and much like this, removing old limiting beliefs and default thinking can be labor intensive. Now albeit challenging, the aftermath of glue removal can be glorious. Just like adhesive remover, the truth of spiritual principles and our alignment with that truth, creates the perfect catalyst for expansion and growth. So let the fun begin….what glue can we remove today?
