“Change your thinking, change your life”. Easy peasy right? Maybe so if your mind is a peaceful and tranquil space, but if yours is anything like mine, which is much akin to the chaos of an all you can eat buffet on a Sunday afternoon, then this phrase may prove a bit more challenging. Nevertheless, we use this one a lot, but what does it really mean? Does our thinking really impact our life? I can look back in times of both triumph and challenge and trace the parallel nature of both my inner and outer life. So, the short answer is yes, our thinking can impact what we see out pictured in our life. The key is in the word “thinking”. Now this doesn’t mean the casual thoughts like “maybe I should have pizza for dinner” or “maybe blue was not the wisest of hair color choices”, but instead “thinking” represents those habitual thought patterns. Those things that we devote a great deal of our mental attention to in our waking hours. So, if we have consistent thoughts of peace, then there is a greater chance we will experience peace on the regular. If our thoughts are constantly about lack and limitation then guess what, there is a pretty good chance we are going to see that played out in the movie of our life. So how do we change this saying “change your thinking, change your life” from a bumper sticker spirituality into a living, moving and breathing expression of our creative power? Well, we are going to explore this and so much more this week at SEC….so come along for the ride…it just very well may change your life.
